Disclaimer

What this site is

visa.hi.cn publishes general information about Chinese visas and entry rules, compiled from official government sources and published by the Arrivau team. It is a reference manual, not an authority.

What this site is not

  • Not an immigration authority, and not authorised to speak for one.
  • Not a visa agency, a law firm, a legal practice or an immigration consultant. Nothing here is legal advice or a substitute for it.
  • Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the National Immigration Administration, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, any Chinese embassy or consulate, any foreign mission in China, or any visa agency.
  • Not a source of legal status. Where an official page and this site disagree, the official page governs.

What is not promised

This site does not predict or promise that any application will be approved, that any visa will be issued, or that any person will be admitted to China. Entry and residence are decisions made by Chinese authorities at the border and after entry. Nothing on this site is a prediction of such a decision, and no reader should treat it as one.

Accuracy and currency

Policies change. Each page links to the official source it is built on, and volatile figures carry the date they were checked. Sources for the current edition were checked on 2026-10-01. A reader travelling now should confirm against the linked official page on the day of travel, and should assume that a page here is out of date if its retrieval date is older than the rule it describes.

Commercial relationships

This site carries no advertising, no affiliate links, no lead forms, no paid placement and no booking. There is therefore no commercial relationship that could affect what appears on any page. The only links out of this site go to government sources and to the language-version pages of this site itself.

Third-party content

Every external link points to a government or official body. This site does not reproduce third-party text, and does not accept submissions for republication. Where a page is quoted or paraphrased, the official original governs.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Arrivau team accepts no liability for decisions made in reliance on this site, for losses arising from using it as a basis for travel, work, study or residence plans, or for any inaccuracy or omission. Use the site to find the official page; then rely on the official page.

Official sources are linked from every article. Start with the National Immigration Administration and the Consular Affairs service.
